General Dynamics launches new badger 2-channel radio for secure marine communications
General dynamicsMission Systems’ business has unveiled a new dual-channel software radio designed to provide multiple levels of security and National Security Agency-certified encryption for voice and data communications.
new Badger Radio The company said Monday it could transmit information using high-frequency, VHF, ultra-high-frequency and satellite mobile system signals for consumer purposes.
Badger has a flexible architecture that allows future next-generation upgrades without the need for redesign.
Badger’s other features include Voice over Internet Protocol audio features, size, weight, and power savings.

The radio was first shown at the Navy League Naval Symposium in Maryland.
