Holohan welcomes “huge improvement” in Donegal – Highland Radio

The chief medical officer says he expects to advise the government on the use of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine by the end of the week.

The use of the device is limited to over 50 years due to concerns about rare blood clots.

The government is currently considering proposals to change this so that the single-dose vaccine can be used in younger people.

Dr. Tony Holohan says there will be a recommendation soon.

Two weeks ago, SDr Holohan’s comments about Covid’s high levels in Donegal sparked controversy in the county.
