Leonardo at Critical Communications World 2021, Madrid, 3-5 November

Organized by TCCA (Critical Communications Association) The world of critical communications (CCW) is the most prestigious event of the year for the sector. The event returns as a personal event. This edition, to be held in Madrid from 3 to 5 November, will include meetings conference,, master classes together with the exhibition, where the latest products on the market will be shown.

The professional communications sector is undergoing a transition phase due to future upgrades to LTE and 5G broadband technologies. As most mission-critical services worldwide are provided by voice and messaging in narrowband networks, it is crucial to identify a strategy that combines this technology with broadband to deploy new services that require greater data transmission capacity, such as real-time videos.

At CCW, Leonardo will take the opportunity to demonstrate its ability to support customers in adopting the most consolidated core technologies.

Strengthen our core: DTA7000

The new DTA 7000 ECOS-E base station, a family of base stations that implements software-defined radio solutions with DMR and TETRA models, will be shown for the first time in Madrid.

Transformation interoperability

It will also be possible to see live the efficiency of the Leonardo multi-vector hybrid network (ROME), which integrates current TETRA and DMR standards with the highest performance networks based on LTE and 5G.

Master the new

Leonardo will also present its new advanced services that take advantage of 4G and higher capacity connections (MCPTT, MCData and MCVideo) developed at own CSP-MCX platform. The latter acquisition of Alea, a company specializing in critical communication software for multimedia solutions in LTE / 5G broadband networks, further strengthens Leonardo’s position in the broadband solutions market. Evolution also includes command and control halls. They are built on their own X-2030 and MCCR platforms. They benefit from multi-network technologies for an informed decision-making process, together with more effective and coordinated monitoring and intervention activities.

Towards the end of the first day at CCW, the ICCA (The International Critical Communications Award), the most prestigious award for excellence in professional communications, will be presented. Leonardo has been nominated in Professional Public Safety Communications category s Cortina 2021 a project, a virtuous example of critical communications that integrates narrowband and broadband to ensure the safety of a major event.
