Man in critical care following collision

A group funding page for Justgiving has been launched in support of a popular window cleaner that is currently being hospitalized.

Philip Page Jones fell behind the wheel of his Peugeot Expert at the bottom of Mayhill as he was returning from a funeral in the Forest of Dean on Friday, October 22nd.

An on-duty firefighter from Monmouth was first on the scene and arranged for several men to get the driver out of the car. After he was placed on the ground, the firefighter began resuscitation. A member of the Monmouth Schools Sports Club then arrived with a defibrillator and took over the administration of the CPR while the firefighter used the defibrillator. They continued until two more out-of-duty firefighters from Cardiff, a former paramedic, arrived on the scene and helped until a fire extinguisher arrived at the Monmouth station, castrated at 2:46 p.m.

An air ambulance from a South Wales crew arrived at 3 p.m. After treatment in critical care for nearly an hour by their on-board consultant and critical care doctor, Philip was airlifted to Cardiff University Hospital in Wales, leaving the scene at 4:15 p.m. and arriving at the hospital at 4:32 p.m. .

Gwent police said: “We received a signal of a collision of a vehicle in Wiesham Road, Monmouth, on October 22 shortly after 2:30 p.m.

“The driver, a 40-year-old man, was taken to hospital for treatment. He remains in hospital in critical condition.

Page is well known not only as a self-employed window cleaner, but also as a founding member of a team of paranormal researchers.

He has been studying the paranormal for about 25 years. He is a member of ASSAP, the Association for the Research of Anomalous Phenomena, and has worked for BBC Radio 4, Sky and USA Cable radio stations on programs of interest in the paranormal. He retired in May this year after 28 years, explaining his personal reasons for taking a break from paranormal social media investigations.

“So heartbreaking, I decided to step back from the paranormal after about 28 years in which I was part of some of the most fantastic investigations and met some amazing people with whom I built a relationship that no matter what, it will never be broken.” he published.

Some of the places he conducted his investigations included Room 4 at The Punch House and Griffin, where he said he “had a life-changing effect.”

He also raised money for charity events by organizing a charitable investigation into Chase Vaughan Paranormal at Shire Hall in support of the Big Wish For Chase appeal for her

SDR Operation and in October 2019 he was crossing 10 miles above Brecon Beacons for children in need, where his video appeared in Countryfile: “Here I am,” he said, “with my friends, on top of the mountain, doing A 10-mile walk, with an incredible ticker, “which a few years earlier had been diagnosed with moderate to severe heart failure but was determined to fight it.

The Justgiving page aims to raise £ 3,500 to help Phil recover and has so far raised 88% of the target.
