Tesla now offers monthly self-driving subscriptions

Washington [US], July 18 (ANI): US electric vehicle and clean energy company Tesla has begun offering a monthly subscription to a full self-driving package for $ 199. per month.

According to The Verge, Tesla owners who have purchased the pre-withdrawn extended autopilot package will be able to receive a $ 99 FSD subscription per month, as offered on the Tesla support page.

Previously, carmakers sold FSD packages for a one-time $ 10,000, but monthly subscriptions allow consumers to literally test FSD features without a long-term contract. You can cancel your monthly FSD subscription at any time, subject to the terms of the Tesla website.

In addition to FSD Computer Hardware 3.0 (HW3) and later, only Tesla with basic or enhanced autopilot configuration can subscribe to FSD. Other owners can purchase a hardware upgrade for $ 1,500 to make their car FSD.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has promised FSD subscription options for the past few years. The company finally began sending beta-defined radio updates for FSD version 9 earlier this month. Please note that the FSD software does not allow you to drive a Tesla car without driver input.
