A 22-year-old man was stabbed to death by his friend in Nkawkaw Zongo in Kwawu West municipality in the eastern region via a Bluetooth music box.
The deceased, Umar Lavali, is said to have had a misunderstanding with the suspect, identified as Shafiq, at the age of 20, after the suspect sought to take his spokesman from Umar.
The father of the deceased reportedly asked the suspect to come for his device the next morning. But he refused and threatened to use all means to download the music box.
Explaining how the incident occurred Adom News“Aquasi Duamena, Fati Mohammed, a woman speaking on behalf of Umar’s mother, Mamuna, said the suspect stabbed his friend in the neck and stomach with scissors.
Nkawkaw Zongo Assembly member Tamimu Khalidou, who confirmed the incident, called on law enforcement to ensure that the country’s laws deal with the suspect.
According to him, it is known that the suspect was on drugs, emphasizing that the act should not be taken lightly, to serve as a deterrent to others.
He also advised parents to implement good training in their wards to help build good citizens for the country.
