Elbit expands involvement in Swedish tactical radio upgrade programme

Elbit Systems needs to provide an additional 1,000 of its own E-LynX software-defined radio stations (SDR) of the Swedish army, the Israeli company announced on July 8.

Elbit is already delivering the SDR network solution to the Swedish Armed Forces and began delivering E-LynX in 2018.

The radio in the latest order will be delivered by Elbit’s subsidiary in Germany. The equipment will include manual and car-mounted E-LynX configurations.

The E-LynX Soldier Radio is designed with open architecture and unique waveforms. SDR facilitates modern network combat solutions both outdoors and in urban areas.

It provides forces with the ability to use multiple voice groups in a single channel and fast data services. It also closes the circuit from sensor to shooter and allows accurate monitoring of the location of the force through a radio-integrated ability to track the force of the force.
