Elbit Systems announced on Thursday that it has received a $ 33 million contract to supply tactical radio systems to a customer in the Asia-Pacific region. The contract will be performed for a period of 12 months. Under the contract, the company will equip the customer’s artillery and infantry forces with tactical radio systems, including car configurations and those that can be carried or retained. Radio systems have advanced networking capabilities, enabling reliable and secure voice and data communication services over an extended range.
The contract was awarded following a recent customer decision to equip its army with additional network combat solutions from Elbit Systems, including E-LynX Software Defined Radios (SDR) and TORCH-X control and management systems. Elbit Systems radio solutions have been selected by numerous armed forces around the world, including those in Switzerland, Sweden, Germany and Israel.
