Elbit Systems awarded Swedish tactical radio deal

Israeli defense electronics Elbit Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: ESLT; LEVEL: ESLT) will supply the Swedish Army with more than 1,000 E-LynX Software Defined Radio (SDR) systems. This is a follow-up order that expands Elbit’s involvement in Sweden’s tactical radio upgrade program.

Elbit Systems began supplying SDR network solutions to the Swedish Army in 2018 and has had several deliveries since then. The latest delivery, which will be made through the subsidiary of Elbit Systems in Germany, will include manual and in-car configurations E-LynX.

E-LynX radio systems facilitate modern networking solutions both outdoors and in urban areas. The E-LynX family of radio systems is designed with an open architectural approach, has unique waveforms and allows the adoption of a number of additional European and NATO waveforms.

The contribution base of E-LynX SDR systems is constantly growing. Elbit Systems is a supplier of current and future ground SDR systems to the Israeli Defense Forces and has been selected to supply E-Lynx systems to additional modern forces.

Elbit Systems EVP and C4I & Cyber General Manager Chaim Delmar said: “We appreciate the confidence given to our E-LynX solution by the Swedish Defense Materials Administration (FMV) and the Swedish Armed Forces. We are proud to be able to support the Swedish military as it strengthens its networking capabilities. “
