MFEW-AL is designed for use in Group 4 UAVs and other aircraft.

OEM Lockheed Martin must provide full system support for Multifunctional Electronic Warfare-Large Air (MFEW-AL) EW jamming systems, under a new contract for $ 7.53 million from the US military.

The place of work and funding will be determined with each order with an estimated completion date of November 18, 2022, the Ministry of Defense said in a statement on May 21.

MFEW-AL is a pod system designed by Lockheed Martin for installation on board Group 4 UAVs and other on-board platforms.

For the first time, the US Army installed the MFEW-AL pod on the MQ-1C Gray Eagle drones in 2019, and in 2020 tested and experimented with the jamming system.
