Malachi Devlin

He joined the satellite communications company in Edinburgh and Oxford to build his business and reputation as a leading provider of high-performance multi-beam scanning antenna systems.

Devlin brings over 25 years of high-level technical and leadership experience, having held roles in international technology companies in market sectors ranging from satellite, 5G, aerospace and defense to software-defined radio and IoT.

Calum Almond

He joined Celestia UK from the Scottish 5G Center, where he was Chief Operating Officer and oversaw the successful establishment and development of the organization responsible for realizing the global potential of 5G connectivity.

After earning a bachelor’s degree in electronic and microprocessor engineering from the University of Strathclyde, he completed a doctorate in signal processing. He holds a master’s degree in corporate leadership from Napier University in Edinburgh.

DM Hall, one of Scotland’s leading independent surveying companies, has appointed Callum Almond as its new head of architectural services.

Based in Dunfermline, Calum, an associate at the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technology (ACIAT), will lead a three-member team with the brief task of increasing its staff this year and next.

Callum joined DM Hall in 2017 with a first-class degree in architectural technology from Napier University in Edinburgh and has significant experience in dealing with the often complex property issues that can arise from land registry documentation and change documentation.

Greaves West & Ayre, one of the region’s leading accounting firms, promoted Xin Zhang to an association.

After earning a master’s degree in quantitative finance, Xin qualified as a chartered accountant in 2018.

He joined GWA that same year and is based primarily at GWA’s Haddington office, drawing on his experience in tax and general practice.
