DTC, Domo Tactical Communications

Domo Tactical Communications (DTC), a wireless communications specialist, is profiling its software-defined 2x1W Plain (SOL8SDR2x1W-P) radio at AUSA 2021, Washington, DC. SOL8SDR2x1W-P is designed to meet the requirements of unmanned platforms, allowing high-speed, long-distance, encrypted data connections, in a compact housing with low size, weight and power.

The main advantage of the DTC is the industry-leading MeshUltra family of Tactical MANET Mesh network forms, compatible on all DTC platforms. SOL8SDR2x1W-P uses the COFDM waveform to provide high bandwidth communication in challenging, dynamic non-linear visibility environments (NLOS) and BVLOS for onboard ISR platforms where our users operate. MeshUltra ™ Waveform is spectrally efficient and can operate on different frequency bands of RF channels from 1.25 MHz, 1.5 MHz, 1.75 MHz, 2.5 MHz to 20 MHz. With adaptive modulation up to 64QAM, MeshUltra ™ of DTC supports data rates up to 87Mbps.

Following the success of the DTC MeshUltra ™ MANET waveform, the new DTC MeshUltra ™ -X shape offers optimized performance for large networks with up to 144 radios operating in narrow diameter channels up to 1.25 MHz and on a single frequency. Perfectly meets the needs of large drones and applications, where a large number of radios must operate efficiently in a limited range.

The SOL8SDR2x1W-P joins the IP Mesh multifunction DTC family of point-to-point (P2P) COFDM radios. DTC RF products include radios suitable for each class of unmanned systems and mission profile. Based on the game-changing SOL8 software-defined radio (SDR) of the DTC, the SOL8SDR2x1W-P is the same at home, operating as a Mobile Messenger IPhoc Network (MANET), P2P COFDM transmitter, or P2P receiver to a tablet. All SDRs and NetNodes of the DTC can host our unifying MeshUltra waveform, allowing for a common network of network networking capabilities in all deployed radio stations.

With very low power consumption, typically at 10 W, the SOL8SDR2x1W-P includes a wide range of interface options, including native Ethernet, dual USB and serial, as well as an interface for audio headphones.

The SOL8SDR2x1W-P is not the only DTC product profiled by AUSA. A revolutionary web user interface (WUI) will be unveiled for the NETNode Phase 5 and SDR IP Mesh families with future integration into the SOL7 COFDM receiver and transmitter range.

The new WUI, with its modern look and improved ease of use, will mean a more intuitive user experience for DTC customers, whether on a computer, tablet or phone. Features include a custom dashboard and simpler performance information, brand applications such as a tactical display and telemetry controller, and an easier way to create new configurations.

SOL8SDR2x1W-P and the new web user interface will be included Stand # 1967 during AUSA 2021, along with our comprehensive portfolio of video and IP products. For more information, please visit domotactical.com or email info@domotactical.com.
