Driven by the defense community’s need for a high-performance secure 3U VPX form factor switching solution and aligned with the latest open set of standards, including the SOSA Technical Reference Architecture Standard ™, Edition 1.0, published September 28, 2021 The SX-153 has been developed as a cost-effective and reliable solution. With a design centered around two independent chipsets from a Marvell Layer 2/3 switch, the SX-153 provides six Data Plane grease ports to the back board and two to the front panel, as well as seven ultra-thin Control Plane ports to the back board. and one to the front panel. The four Data Plane ports are configured for 100G Ethernet, one for 40G Ethernet, and the last fat tube is divided into four 1/10 Gigabit Ethernet ports to support the secondary Data Plane architecture in the standard rear CMOSS configuration.
