Mumbai, November 25 (UNI) A Kerala-based startup, Inntot has built an undisclosed bridge from Unicorn India Ventures. Unicorn India launched the company for the first time in 2018.
Inntot focuses on providing high-quality and cost-effective IP solutions for next-generation digital media receivers, namely Digital Radio Mondiale receivers (for AM and FM bands), DAB / DAB + receivers, CDR receivers and ISDB-T receivers, and HD radio receiver in collaboration with Xperi.
The company plans to use the funds to purchase highly sophisticated and precise digital radio testing equipment needed to test radio frequency and synchronization characteristics for all digital radio broadcasting standards, namely; DRM in AM and FM bands, DAB / DAB +, HD-Radio, CDR.
Inntot Technologies, incorporated in 2014 by Prasanth Thankappan, Chief Technical Officer, Inntot Technologies and Rajith Nair, Chief Executive Officer of Inntot Technologies, aims to provide cost-effective and high-quality digital media broadcasting solutions worldwide.
Current solutions for digital broadcast receivers require special high-cost chips and are used to perform complex operations such as hardware demodulation. Therefore, the final solution becomes very expensive. Such high costs prevent the rapid entry into emerging and voluminous markets such as India, the European Union, South Africa, Russia, China and Indonesia, where the use of DRM, DAB, CDR technology is permitted by the government and television operators. Inntot’s USP is that the implementation of SDR together with patented improvisations work on ARM processors, which makes it high quality and cost-effective for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and reduces the cost of the receiver within the reach of the average person.
Rajith Nair, co-founder and CEO of Inntot Technologies, says: “Our goal is to enable Inntot to provide high-quality and cost-effective digital broadcast solutions in all geographic areas. Be it in cars, houses or smartphones. The continued support from Unicorn India is a testament to the success we have achieved so far and the growth plans that are emerging for the next 2 years. “
Inntot licenses its digital radio solutions to a variety of Level 1 customers, including Clarion and Telechips.
Anil Joshi, Managing Partner, Unicorn India Ventures says: “We joined Inntot two years ago and have since seen Inntot grow and its ability to create IP that will operate in global markets such as the US, Europe and China. We have extended this additional funding so that they can develop more IP and expand faster. It is the only company in India that can serve multiple bands in different markets. ”
